How is this flex vent secured to the vent connection on top of the insert?
There are clamps needed to connect the inner wall to the unit, which you can see here. There are clamps to attach the outer wall to the unit, which you can see here.

Does the statement about all compressed flex vents potentially expanding up to two times mean these can be expanded to reach 24 feet?
These come compressed and expand to the full length as listed in the description. So the 12 foot length is sent compressed to 6 feet and expands to 12. The 24 foot pieces are sent compressed at 12 feet and expand to 24 feet.

This particular line of pipe utilizes a 4 1/2" inner liner and a 7 1/2" outer liner.
