Le Griddle Grills Buyer's Guide

Le Griddle may or may not be a brand you have heard of yet, but after learning about their high-quality grills, you will be glad you did. Le Griddle sells a small range of very effective electric and gas grills. Most of their effort in developing a product line went into creating a few premium products versus making a wide variety of products for the masses.

Le Griddle prides themselves on their unique approach to manufacturing grills and the premium materials that go into them. In this article, we will discuss what makes Le Griddle stand apart from the rest, what you can expect from their products and how to care for them. So, sit back, relax and happy reading.

The Le Griddle Difference

While Le Griddle sells their products all over the world, they are designed and manufactured in France. Their commitment to selling the best griddles possible led them to use manufacturing technology developed by the aircraft industry. This ensures that every piece that goes into their grills, and ultimately, your home, is cut with precision and made with the most up-to-date innovations.

If that wasn't enough, Le Griddle has French chefs sign off on all of their griddles before they are sold. The chefs test the products against standards of efficiency and effectiveness. Only the ones that pass their inspection end up "on the showroom floor." So, you know anything you buy from Le Griddle is backed by a guarantee of excellence.

All Le Griddle products are made with 304 stainless steel and offer a lifetime warranty on the cook plates. The high-quality steel is resistant to rust, discoloration and distortion. Their unique dual plate system with 304 stainless steel and cast iron makes for the perfect heat distribution and food contact. Heat is captured through the cast iron plate then transferred to the stainless steel plate that ensures even cooking every time.

Every Le Griddle grill, even the "Wee" grill, puts off at least 9,000 BTU's. These high-powered burners are unlike any others on the market. So, you know even the smallest grills can handle big jobs. They are also backed by a five-year warranty. So, the Le Griddle difference is high-powered, high-quality products you can trust to cook your food exactly like you want it every time.

Product Line

Now that you understand the intense scrutiny each Le Griddle product goes under, let's discuss the three main grills they sell.

First up is the Wee Griddle. It's OK to chuckle at the name, we did too. Despite the name, the Wee Griddle is surprisingly tough. It has a 16' cooking surface that can cook up to twelve burgers at one time. 9,000 BTU's of power, a tighter cooking space and portability make it perfect for tailgating or traveling. If you want to take it with you to a backyard BBQ, because someone else's grill is lame, you can do that too. You will be sure to have a "weely" good time.

Next is the Original Griddle. It has a 30' cooking surface and can be used as a built-in, free-standing or with a cart. The original model can serve up to twenty guests and boasts 18,000 BTUs of power. This model is larger so it isn't as great of an option for travel, though, you can just invite everyone to your house to enjoy all the good food they can handle.

Last, we have the Ultimate Griddle. This guy puts off a whopping 27,000 BTU's - which is more than some full-size fireplaces! With a grilling area of 41' and capacity of feeding up to 30 people, you wont need to invite people, the neighborhood will come to you. This model, like the others, comes as freestanding or built-in, but does not have an option for a cart.

It's important to note that all three models can be fueled by gas or powered electrically, though the electric models are slightly more expensive. If you plan to leave your grill out in the open and not under a covered porch, it will be worth it to invest in a grill cover. Each model has it's own customized cover to fit snugly and keep it from any animals or debris sneaking in. If you'd like to accessorize your grill even more, there are trim kits, liners and lids that will help you make it your own.

Care and Maintenance

Because the team at Le Griddle spent so much time creating grills that are made from the highest quality, you not only have the best cooking experience with their products, clean-up is also a breeze. All you need are a few ice cubes and a Scotch Brite pad. It's as simple as that. The 304 stainless steel makes it resistant to rust, so that will never have to be a worry either. Seasoning the grill is never necessary either. See, shopping with Le Griddle really does make all the difference.

Shipping

As always, we need to alert you to the shipping process should you decide to order a grill or grill accessory. Grills will come via freight carrier because they are too large to be shipped as a small parcel. Once you have completed the purchase & the carrier is chosen, then they will call you to set up a delivery appointment.

When the freight arrives, make sure you have two people available to unload, just in case it is heavier than expected. The driver is only responsible for getting it off the truck. They won't help you carry it to your backyard.

Before you sign off on the delivery receipt, make sure the driver unwraps the package and you take a few minutes to inspect the shipment. If any signs of visible damage are there, take photos, refuse the shipment and sign the receipt. You should also make note of the damage on the receipt.

If you fail to do this, you will have a very small chance of winning a damage claim with the freight carrier. It is your job to note whether or not the item arrived in good condition. No matter what the driver says, you have to take time to do this so you don't end up with a damaged product and/or not receive your money back.

Well, that is all for this short segment on Le Griddle. We hope this gave you some good info and helped you decide why Le Griddle might be the perfect brand for you. IF you have any questions, please call us at 800.203.1642.
