Carbon Monoxide is not risky from a properly installed and maintained direct vent fireplace. You can run this fireplace overnight.

Yes, however, the insulation will need to be secured so that it does not fall against the fireplace in the future.

The remote has six flame modulation settings and no lighting is offered for this fireplace. If you are looking for a similar model that would include interior lighting, lighting is standard on the Empire 36 Inch Tahoe Luxury Direct Vent Natural Gas Fireplace with Remote Control.

With no liner, the interior is a flat black painted metal. No liner is required for the installation or operation of this fireplace.

Very happy with the product
This item has been a pleasant surprise. I was worried about the remote control functioning properly, but it is functioning over my expectations. I really like the thermostat function in the remote that will turn the unit on when the temperature in the room drops below the set temperature. I did some price shopping before I purchased the unit and this unit provided a lot of value for the money I spent.

The fireplace was delivered quickly, came undamaged and the installation was relatively simple. The remote control functions are great, we use the "thermostat" function of the unit to warm up our house.

Everything we hoped it would be. Installed easily, with a lot of help from my HVAC pro neighbor next door. Looks great and puts a lot of heat into the room. Natural gas bill for January, total house, $56,00. Great investment.
